Varsity Head Coach - Shelia Byrd

Coach Shelia joins us with 15 years of coaching experience, including 5 years the North High School Girls Lacrosse program and years as the Vogel Athletic Director. Additionally, Shelia has experience in founding and growing her own lacrosse club, the Blue Devils. Her resourcefulness and dedication to the sport and coaching are essential for the development of our program.

Varsity Assistant Coach - Rudi Lyles

Coach Rudi is a 2020 graduate of Castle High School and a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, where she earned a BS in Exercise Science. She has been involved in various sports for a total of 19 years, with 9 of those years playing lacrosse, including 4 years as a Division II player at LMU. Her knowledge, experience, and passion for lacrosse make Coach Rudi a valuable addition to our team.

Junior Varsity Head Coach - Bob Minasian

Coach Minasian started playing lacrosse as a Sophomore Cadet at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He played midfield for the Bulldogs for three years. His involvement with the Castle Girls Lacrosse program began in 2012, the team’s first season, when his daughter Hannah joined the team. That season, he served as a parent volunteer marking the game and practice fields. At the end of the 2012 season he volunteered to help Head Coach Emily Garrett and was asked to serve as an Assistant Coach/JV Coach. He has been a JV Coach for the Lady Knights since the 2013 season.

Junior Varsity Assistant Coach - John Pracht

John Pracht is a former Castle Girls Lacrosse Board President turned coach. John has been involved with the program since the beginning and even after his daughter graduated from Castle, John has been a fixture on the sidelines helping with stats. His love for the game of lacrosse and our program has brought him back this year as a first time coach. We are happy to have John join our staff.

Middle School Head Coach - Cory Farthing

Cory Farthing is a 2019 graduate of Castle High School and a former Castle Girls Lacrosse player. Cory currently attends USI and is studying Forensic Psychology. Cory brings a varsity playing experience to the MS staff.
